Global Ordnance LLC ADI556 Small Caliber 5.56x45mm NATO 62 gr Full Metal Jacket – Australian Muntitions 5.56mm F1 Ball ammunition can be used in all 5.56 caliber NATO weapons and is comparable to other in-service natures such as the FN SS109 and US M855 ball cartridge. The projectile comprises of a hardened penetrator and a lead slug enclosed in a gilding metal jacket.

M855 is often called “green tip” ammo. The tip of the projectile is marked green to denote a steel “penetrator” in the lead core. This type of ammo is often prohibited for use at indoor shooting ranges.
